This product is original from Peru. It's produced in Cuzco. Also known as the incas food. It's a type of corn. Preparing maiz chulpe is similar to the process of popping popcorn in a skillet. Unlike popcorn, however, maiz chulpe does not burst and turn white. The kernels puff up when fried in oil and turn golden brown and crunchy. Cook maiz chulpe at home and enjoy it in place of potato or tortilla chips as a more healthful snack.
