The top and bottom elastic band is easy to change if needed. There is a small unsown opening at the top and bottom that allows you to easily change the elastic band. Before, I used to produce bags with an open top without the elastic band and this did not work well because when the plastic bag holder would overfill, the bags would fall out from the top.
