These are pretty good little target arrows. Decent quality and tough as nails but word of caution, these arrows are very thin and flexible and should not be shot from a bow greater that 30#!! Had to give these to my boys and wife as they all shoot sub 30# and there is still quite a bit of flex when they shoot them! Shot a couple of these with my 55# recurve, big no no! It was like slinging spaghetti noodles from my bow! That's why I called them tough as nails cause launching from my bow, hitting the target was futile! I stuck a couple of these deep into my wood fence and nocks, tips and shift all surprisingly held up!
I ordered these to replace the ones that have been broken (or lost). My kids seem to go through arrows like crazy-- especially when they accidentally miss their target and end up in trees or cut logs and the tips are destroyed. These are sturdy arrows and we used them over Thanksgiving break for some target practice. I am very pleased with them-- used with a simple recurve bow.
I won't claim to know anything as I am a beginner to archery.
Took 2 beginner classes and I just enjoyed it, so I got my own bow—the Samick Sage recurve #30, 28in draw length and brace height of 7.5 - 8.25in.
These arrows work for me and took them out for 3 session or about 1.5 hours each. The range I shoot at is outdoor and the targets are square hay bale of about 3 feet square and framed in wood.
First time I went shooting is with 2 other friends that had no previous experience in archery. They ended up breaking 2 nocks and I believe they were not shooting correctly, why I know is that there was some scrap damage to the riser, about 1 full inch above the arrow rest. Which could have meant torquing of the bow before release and/or nocking above the nocking point (brass piece on the string). All of that is my fault for not show and telling them better, we are all of about 27-29 years old. 1 arrow was shot into the wood and that point came loose,...
