- GREAT FOR CAMPING TRIPS - Coffee was meant to be sipped outdoors. This filter is perfect for camping trips so you can have a quick cup of coffee on the go.
â–ºPaper filters are definitely a lot more convenient than using a stainless steel, reusable coffee filter. You simply throw away the filter when you're done! However, stainless steel coffee filters allow more oils and micro-fines to escape from the grounded coffee beans, which results in a more complex and rich cup of coffee. They're really not meant for folks looking to get a quick cup of joe in the morning.
â–ºStainless steel filters are also more eco-friendly. Helping us reduce paper waste over the long run.
How easy is it to clean?â–ºAdmittedly, stainless steel filters are a bit more time-consuming to clean and maintain than paper filters. We recommend disposing of the leftover grounded coffee a couple minutes after you complete your brew. This allows the unit to cool down a bit (which will help prevent you from potentially burning yourself).
â–ºOnce it cools down simply hit the filter against your waste bowl a couple times, then scoop out the rest with the complementary scoop we send you. After that, we recommend rinsing it with water over the waste bin.
â–ºThis prevents coffee grounds from building up in your sink / water pipes (which will eventually get clogged). Afterwards you simply wash with warm water and mild soap, and can dry by hand or let it air dry. We really don't recommend using the dishwasher as the strong water pressure and extreme heat may compromise the integrity of the structure.
â–ºEveryone's taste buds are different, and it will require a bit of experimenting before you get to a taste you love. We recommend starting off with 2 tablespoons of grounded coffee per 1 cup of water.
â–ºWe also recommend using medium grind coffee. If you prefer fine grind please be advised that some of the grinds might escape the filter into your cup of coffee.
