Great for preparing kindling or chopping firewood, the PHX-12 hatchet is the perfect portable tool to do the job. The handle is made of high-quality thermoplastic tough enough to withstand hard blows. It also acts as a shock absorber to soften the blow on the user. The handle is designed to fit snugly & comfortably as you grip for better handling. For maximum strength & durability, The hatchet head is made from hardened C45 carbon steel dropforged, cooled in an oil bath then heat treated. This high-quality steel has been tested to withstand 53-56 hrs based on the Rockwell hardness Scale. The entire design is fit for camping, hiking or other outdoor activities.
