Prayers for the Living: Notes, Prayers & Journal Entries From a Man on a Journey

Authors like Kahlil Gibran, Don Miguel Ruiz, Og Mandino, and Dale Carnegie inspired Phillip from the time he was 22 years old. After reading, "How to Win Friends & Influence People" he was set on the path of personal development and has rarely picked up fictional content unless it had a redemptive quality or a spiritual context. It was "The Greatest Miracle in the World" by Og Mandino that he credits for his first renewal of spirit.

"Though I've never been clinically diagnosed as depressed I can truthfully say I've been to the dark side of my thoughts and imagined ending things because I didn't think I could cope," says Phillip when asked about why he writes about his journey. He adds, "One of the greatest lies we tell ourselves is that no one will understand or that we're all alone on this journey. Nothing could be further from the truth."

This book is quite simply a peak into one man's journal and his willingness to share insights and revelations into self. Similar to "The God Memorandum" also by Og Mandino, which was originally an excerpt from the previously mentioned "Greatest Miracle", "Prayers for the Living" is part of the soon to be released 2nd title by Phillip, "Spectrums", being coauthored by Sean Avery, the author of "EON - Evolution of a Nigger".

Anyone looking for insights, shifting paradigms, broadening their periphery of the world or having a better understanding of how to communicate with your spirit and ultimately with God will find what they're looking for in these pages. "Prayers for the Living" is not religious in nature, however, it is insightful and Phillip includes a few of his personal exhortations to God in its pages.
