The PVC shim stock has an opaque pink color to indicate 0.015" thickness, meets Federal Specification L-P-535, and has a standard tolerance. PVC (polyvinyl chloride), also known as vinyl, is a durable, nonconductive plastic that resists corrosion, many chemicals, and oils. The shim stock is color-coded for thickness identification.

Shim stock is very thin material that can be fabricated into specific shapes.
