Tool does not have to be 'turned down' after use, providing convenience
Torque setting locks on adjustable wrenches for repetitive applications
Adjustment knob eliminates spring tension, so setting torque on adjustable wrenches is fast and easy
Setting the tool requires only fingertip force since the adjustment mechanism is not under load. There is no need to 'work in' a C series torque wrench before using it the first time. Split-Beam Click Wrenches overcome many of the problems associated with micrometer-style clock wrenches in abusive environments.

I frequently work on cars between my daily drivers, project cars and amateur road racing. I had been using Craftsman torque wrenches bought from Sears for years. My original 1/2" 25-150 ft. lbs. model just died. It had worked great since its purchase in 1995. I had the opportunity to use some Snap On "bar style" torque wrenches my friends own and liked them a lot. I originally decided to replace my Craftsman with a Snap On. I discovered that Precision Instruments was the OEM for Snap On. I first bought the PREC3FR250F and it was identical to my brother's Snap On version except for a dust shield the Snap On had and the coloring scheme. It also came with the calibration card just like the Snap On. As luck would have it, my 3/8" Craftsman failed a week later. I ended buying the PREC2FR100F and PREC2FR600H to replace it. Saved a chunk a cash by the Precision Instruments versions. They are Made in the USA which was important to me too.
I have nothing really bad to say about this torque wrench; it's great, seems to be accurate (was calibrated before shipping, anyway) and the "click" is much more pronounced than on my smaller micrometer-type Snap-On torque wrench. I really only have a few negatives to report about this product.
1) No need to wind it all the way to zero before storage like a micrometer type wrench. To me this is great.
2) It just works.
3) very easy to adjust torque setting, much more so than a micrometer type.
1) Only works in clockwise direction, so cannot be used to torque left hand thread fasteners. Probably only a concern to you if you are planning on using it on the lug nuts of an old MoPar or Studebaker. This is a characteristic of the split-beam design; if you need that capability, you're probably better off getting a micrometer type torque wrench.
2) Assuming that it's in calibration, it still is...
This wrench is too good: It has a strange feel to it if you expect it to be a "clicker" its not it is much sturdier and torques perfectly every time. I am picky about torque and this tool never turns a nut the second time it's used on it. I trust it.
The bad: it is in graduation of 5 ft-lbs so smaller adjustments are out of the question and sometimes it will move up or down slightly when the adjustment cover is snapped down and I have to set it again. However it never moves while i'm using it. And I just move my torque to the range the wrench can handle i.e. a spec of 93-106 ft-lbs would get 100 ft-lbs.
overall this is the best torque wrench in my toolbox and I spent twice as much on my mac.
