- Economical Green Crosshair Laser Module: VLM-520-29 LPT uses a Direct Green Laser Diode for large temperature operation range. It is optimized to generate a green Crosshair Laser with an Emitting Angle of More than 60°, making it ideal for cost-saving projects requiring reliable performance. 520 nm green laser is significantly more visible to the human eye (5-10x brighter than red lasers at the same power) due to the eye's high sensitivity to green light.
- Cost-Efficient with Reliable Performance: Built with Aspherical Plastic Lens and Plastic Wavy Lens to provide a visible Crosshair Laser. The Line-width is optimized at 40 cm, achieving 1 mm line width. It is rated for a Mean Time To Failure (MTTF) of 5000 hrs at 25°C.
- Wavelength: 505~530 nm (Green); Optical Power: 4~5 mW, Laser Power output: Less than 0.39mW (Class 1 eye-safe); Operating Voltage: 7~10 VDC. Direct Green Lasers are direct-diode semiconductor lasers. The stability of the laser output is greatly improved.
Most green laser modules on the market are DPSS (diode pumped solid state) laser modules. DPSS (Diode-Pumped Solid State) is a conventional laser module that emits an infrared laser diode with a wavelength of 808nm and turns it into green by crystal. This is actually a very inefficient way of producing a laser beam as there is significant power loss.
For Direct Green Laser Module, the semiconductor laser itself emits directly. The stability of the laser output is greatly improved since there is no additional crystal. Thanks to their good efficiency, the temperature increase of the lasers during operation is minimized. A long lifetime and high reliability at continuous operation is guaranteed.
