Nephrite is more common than jadeite and deposits have been found in New Zealand, Australia, Brazil, China, Canada, Zimbabwe, Russia, Taiwan, Alaska and Poland.
The main source of jadeite is Myanmar (Burma), which is also the only source of imperial jadeite.
Jadeite is also found in Japan, Canada, Guatemala, Kazakhstan, Russia, Turkey, Cuba and the USA.

Jade Gemstone jewelry Care and Cleaning
Dip a soft cloth into the soapy water and gently wipe your jade until it is clean. Do not scrub at it, as scrubbing can scratch the surface.
Also, take care to avoid immersing it in the soapy water.
As with most gemstones, ultrasonic cleaners and steamers are not recommended.
Touching jade increases the luster and richness of the stone, so don't feel like you have to clean your jade jewelry every time you wear it.
Instead, wipe it with a soft cloth after wearing it and clean it only when you notice soiling.
