3 Questions to Ask Before Buying a Hammock
I wouldn't buy a hammock without these answers.
Question #1: Is it strong enough?
The biggest complaint I've heard when people buy other hammocks is that it broke and they ended up on the ground - sometimes painfully. One guy even broke his tailbone. Ouch!
The Rallt Double Camping Hammock safely holds up to 500 pounds. It does so by using a strong diamond ripstop fabric that's abrasion-resistant and very tear-resistant. The structural seams are triple-stitched. All the rope is 6mm thick and nautical-grade - yes, the same rope used on sailboats.
Question #2: Is it comfortable?
We use a breathable nylon body so that there is some give. That makes the body more durable and more comfortable.
However, we want the opposite for our ropes. Any stretch in the rope means the hammock will slowly sag lower and lower as the night goes on. You might end up on the ground in the middle of the night. Our ropes are all non-stretch polypropylene.
Your hammock also needs to be big enough for you and maybe one more. At 10 feet long and just over 6 feet wide, it's comfortable for two and an absolute dream for one.
Question #3: Does it include hanging equipment?
Most hammocks don't include anything you need for hanging the hammock. You get the hammock but you can't use it! That's craziness.
We include two sections of rope for hanging. Each is a generous 10 feet long, making it possible to hang your hammock even when the trees are far apart - even over 20 feet.
For faster, easier setup, consider getting a set of Rallt Hammock Straps too.

This is my fist camping hammock and wow how amazing it is. It is well made and roomy with rip-stop material. Hung it up on our deck lots of fun. Bought the easy setup Hammock straps by Rallt. I would recommend going a head and buying them when purchasing the hammock. The hammock comes with good carabiners but I changed them out with real climbing carabiners that can almost hold up a compact car. Some of the reviews say that the strap stitching breaks down under use. To solve this problem as you see I have tied some nots to further make sure the stitches do not fail and to also keep the excess off the ground. I made some changes with the product, but I would definitely buy this again.
I love it, it's comfortable, well made and exactly what we were looking for. There's room in the bag for the hammock that comes with well thought out carabiners, and the tree straps we also bought. We hung it out back and my son and I both got in it, held us well, I'm about 225 and he's about 90 pounds. Not sure I'd recommend two sleeping together, unless you want to be very cozy. This was a test purchase to see how it performed before I purchased more, very happy and will purchase again. Looking forward to our next camping excursion, no more on the ground for us. I've also got to say something about the incredible customer support that was provided, Top Notch! If you're trying to decide, get this one!
When you hear camping hammock you usually think ENO or some other 70$ hammock brand that you don't want to have to pay for to get a good hammock, but Rallt hammocks are just as good and for more than half the price. I just got mine the other day and I've used it daily and I couldn't be happier. I also bought the straps, which are super easy to set up and take down. For both of those the price is unbeatable for this quality. I am a bigger person (6'4" and 220lbs) and it fits me fine, a double size would be more luxurious but it's not necessary, and the materials are comfortable. I would highly recommend this for someone looking into starting hammock camping, or just wanting to hang around in a good quality hammock.
