Addiction to alcohol or drugs affects one in ten people over the age of 12. Addiction in a broader sense â€“ to food, work, gambling or technology - affects most of us.
Recovery from addiction, whether you use a 12 Step program or some other approach, opens the door to the possibility of a new life, a second chance. Thousands of people have done it and if you are reading this, thereâ€™s a strong chance you are one of them, or you are close to someone who is.
Yet there comes a point after youâ€™ve put down your drug of choice, when you begin to wonder what else is possible. You no longer obsess about the next drink or the next fix, but that sometimes leaves a gaping hole full of questions in your life. You wonder â€“ who am I? And what is my purpose? These are two of the most profound questions you can ask yourself and an indication that itâ€™s time to move on and reboot your life.

The connection you already have is your secret link to the source of wisdom which resides within you. Your own Higher Self (or Higher Power if you prefer) is communicating with you all the time, nudging you in the direction of your purpose.
By learning to listen to the messages and taking inspired action on what you hear, you will be tapping into universal source and creating a life aligned with your purpose. You will be moving along your personal path to purpose guided by your higher self, which will nudge you in that direction until you start to pay attention to it.
You have a unique purpose on this planet. It is time to listen to the messages from your higher self and truly connect with that purpose.
