Red Boat Fish Sauce, Hardwood Smoked | Premium 50°N fish sauce sustainably made with just two ingredients in Vietnam | Higher Protein For Exceptional Flavor and Aged in Bourbon Barrels | Gluten and sugar free, no preservatives | 6.8 fl oz.
AGED IN BOURBON BARRELS AND HARDWOOD SMOKED: After our initial 12 month fermentation process, this additional aging creates a subtle sweetness with a deep, rich flavor. We then smoke the fish sauce with a combination of mesquite, hickory and cherry wood to create the ultimate woodsy smokehouse flavor.
MORE UMAMI, MORE FLAVOR: Our 50°N is our most premium fish sauce and has the highest protein content for exquisite flavor. We choose our very best barrel every year for its exceptional tastiness and character.
JUST TWO INGREDIENTS: We use only sea salt and black anchovies caught off of the crystal clear waters of Vietnam’s Phú Quốc archipelago
100% PURE FLAVOR: Our fish sauce is first press and slowly fermented for a year using a centuries-old fermentation technique with wooden barrels in Vietnam.
FAMILY OWNED AND OPERATED: Our founder, Cuong Pham, started Red Boat because he couldn't find a fish sauce that tasted like home in the US. Over a decade later, the brand is still family owned and run.
The Phamily Reserve 50N Hardwood Smoked is a collaboration between Red Boat and Blis Gourmet. At 50N this is the highest grade fish sauce in our lineup. After our initial fermentation process to create the fish sauce, it then gets aged in barrels that previously held bourbon and maple syrup, and then it was smoked in a combination of mesquite, hickory and cherry wood. The end result is a subtle sweetness and smokiness not found in other fish sauces!
