- AASHTO M-247 STANDARD DOT TYPE 1 HIGHWAY BEADS: Sand like texture. These are the same reflective glass beads used on highway, state and interstate traffic lines. Meets all federal and state specifications. Inter-mix (for texture) or drop on applications. Bead size: Range from 20-325 US Mesh, 45-850 Microns Roundness >= 80%. Refractive index is >= 1.51.
- HIGH QUALITY & PERFORMANCE: Our reflective glass powder-like beads offer high performance and visibility when used as a top coating on paints, adhesives, epoxies or industrial tape. Glass powder is very reflective although not as reflective as our larger glass beads.
- INCREASE SAFETY & NIGHTTIME VISIBILITY: The glass spheres vibrantly reflect light from headlights or other light sources to increase visibility, illuminate hazards or capture attention.
- INCREASE MARKING LIFE: Using the reflective glass beads on top of your paint or epoxy applications to extend the life of your markings and enhance durability.
- EASY APPLICATION: Sprinkle on to wet paint, epoxy or tape to embed the beads. Do not bury or cover the beads. The beads must sit on top of the paint or adhesive to properly reflect light. Also suitable for use with standard highway marking equipment or line striping dispensers.
