This re-issue of the soundtrack is the first that's widely available. There was a limited "not for resale" CD issue a few years back, but nothing like this. The quality is suburb, and there's several extra track not found on the original CD. The only thing that's missing is "Remo's Theme" by Tommy Shaw ("What If.") This is played over the end credits and while Remo is attempting his escape in the Ambulance. You'll only find that on a Tommy Shaw album or limited release 45 (vinyl record, not ammo.)

Played with authentic vintage Korean instruments, plus modern instruments and keyboards, this is one of Safan's best sound tracks to date. "Remo Floats" is my favorite, and probably #1 with most fans.

Extra Tracks:

The "Organ Music" is the music heard while Chiun is watching the Soaps.

"Elevator Encounter" that's heard while Remo is in, er, the elevator.

"Ferris Wheel Theme" is the odd-ball musid we hear while Remo is on the... Read more
Craig Safan was one of the top composers in the 1980's, and this is considered by many to be one of his best works. Many of the pieces are played on period Korean instruments, synths, strings or a combination of all. "Remo Floats" is probably the most popular.

One note: The end Song by Tommy Shaw "What If" is NOT on the soundtrack CD.
I have over 100 score soundtracks in my collection. I'm very happy to have found this title available.

If you like the Korean flavor of this title I would also recommend the "Rising Sun",score soundtrack by Toru Takemitsu.

Some of my favorite composers are Horner, Goldsmith, Kamen, Edelman, Elfman, and Poledouris; and I guess Williams too.

Safan was a new composer for me. The score soundtrack for "The Last Starfighter" is very simalar to Remo but, it is not as available. He also did the score for "Stand and Deliver" which I have not heard yet.

This movie had a song tie-in, entitled "What If", by Tommy Shaw one of the ex-front men of STYX. It is from his second solo album entitled the same.

This is not the best score soundtrack ever; However, it is very nice and I would recommend it to fellow patrions.
