- Replacement antenna for Realistic and Radio Shack scanners that use a telescopic antenna with MALE SCREW THREADS (See photo). If you are not sure or don't know the type antenna you need, Please verify correct type needed before placing an order. There are several different types of antenas available for hundreds of different model scanners and it is impossible to guess which one might be correct.
- BEFORE ordering please check your model scanner for correct type of screw threads. You may have to remove the cabinet of the scanner to check inside and confirm needed type by matching with original style connection.
- All band coverage 30 - 900MHz - Extends from 6-1/2" collapsed to 32" extended, 7 sections. Fits Realistic (Radio Shack) scanner models *** that have a 7mm or larger hole in the top of the scanner cabinet and use an antenna with MALE THREADS as shown in picture. **** If the hole is smaller than 7mm it will have to be drilled out to make a larger opening. ***
- This is a replacement for Realistic (Radio Shack) antenna models A0269 (pn 10539120) and A0554 (pn 10540896) telescopic antennas. To fit you must have a 7mm or larger hole in the top of the scanner cabinet.
- *** This antenna DOES NOT fit any Bearcat, Uniden, or Regency scanners. *** This antenna DOES NOT fit any Realistic or Radio Shack scanners that use a FEMALE type antenna which looks very different than photo at left. Plus you must have a 7mm or larger hole in the top of the scanner cabinet for this to work. If the hole in the top of your scanner cabinet has a smaller diameter than 7mm this antenna will not work fit. You have to drill a larger hole in the cabinet that will accept this antenna.
