Onemorning, during breakfast, he commits a bizarre and fatal crime. Heseeks to pin responsibility for it on his guileless, illiteratefootman, Bob Hedges. A battle ensues between Bob's black,justice-hungry wife and the fortified privilege of the ruling classes.
