Since the 2006 publication of her New York TimesÂ bestseller, Tough Choices, former Hewlett-PackardÂ CEO Carly Fiorina has faced a new round of challenges.Â She ran for the Senate as a Republican inÂ deep-blue California but was unable to unseat theÂ entrenched incumbent. She battled breast cancer,Â wondering if sheâ‚¬d even survive. Worst of all, sheÂ suffered the devastating loss of a beloved daughter.Â Yet despite these setbacks and tragedies, she remainsÂ undaunted: â‚¬Å“Iâ‚¬ve come to see lessons and blessings inÂ these passages. Fiorina believes that politics, like business, isÂ primarily about people. With warmth and compassion,Â she provides a vision that reaches across theÂ usual barriers of gender, race, income, and partyÂ affiliation to craft a message that appeals to a wideÂ range of Americans: a message of hope.
