The Duckbill 88-DB1 Large Earth Anchor is an effective anchoring tool / theft deterrent that is primarily used to secure your important outdoor items firmly to the ground. The 88-DB1 Large Earth Anchor is like a toggle bolt in the soil - it anchors down items up to 3000 lbs. (in weight) to the ground without the need for digging holes or pouring cement. Some items that can be anchored down to the ground are water fountains, barbeques, picnic tables, benches, and many other outdoor items that you want to remain in a fixed position. How to use: Hammer down the earth anchor using an 88 Series Drive Steel Tool (sold separately). Then remove the drive steel tool and pull the cable up in order to set the toggle. Once the earth anchor is driven into the ground, it will expose a steel loop above ground to allow for a padlock to fit. The earth anchor theft deterrent will stay installed in the ground until you decide to dig it out.
