Swedish tenor Jussi Bjoerling and Brazilian soprano Bidº Say£o are the star-crossed lovers. Emil Cooper conducts the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra and Chorus, with a cast that includes John Brownlee (Mercutio), Nicola Moscona (Frere Laurent), Mimi Benzell (Stephano), Claramae Turner (Nurse) and Thomas Hayward (Tybalt).
