Rope King TP-58300Y Twisted Poly Rope, 5/8 inch x 300 feet, Yellow

The Rope King TP-58300Y twisted poly rope measures 5/8" in diameter by 300' long, is yellow in color, and is suitable for use in camping, pools, and ladder placement. Twisted poly (polypropylene) rope floats and is resistant to mildew, oil, and gas. The twisted construction is stronger than braided rope of the same size.

Fibrous ropes used for pulling and lifting are made of natural and/or synthetic fiber strands. Fibrous rope materials are selected for properties such as strength, flotation, elasticity, and resistance to abrasion, ultraviolet light, and chemical compounds.  Twisted rope, also called laid rope, consists of two, three, or four strands given a right-hand or left-hand twist.  The parallel organization of the strands makes twisted rope generally stronger than braided rope of the same size, but also prone to abrasion wear. The breaking strength for fibrous rope is the strength at which new rope will fail under a stationary load. Breaking strength is not considered safe working load (SWL) limit.
