If you've been leatherless/vegan for any length of time, you probably know how difficult it can be finding a decent pair of shoes. The Saucony Jazz Vegan sneaker may very well be the solution you're looking for.
Saucony's vegan and cruelty-free sneaker is comprised of a rubber sole and synthetic and nylon upper. They come in several color combinations and have a reasonable ballpark price of about $50.
At work and gym, I use other footwear. But for everything else over the past year, I've worn these. And while they've been durable enough, they are now starting to show some signs of wear 'n tear. The upper has somewhat wilted and the vibrancy of the cream coloring looks a shade murkier, but both can be attributed to natural aging and the stress of my carefree treks through snow, puddles, and who-knows-what-else. The jellybean-sized hole that has worn through the threading on one side (small enough that I hadn't noticed until inspecting just now) isn't cause for...
I've been buying Originals Jazz shoes since they were just running shoes, I always come back to them.
I'm very pleased with the materials and build of the vegan series, even though I know they'll wear out before the leather, they're nice looking and breath well in the summer - but don't wear them in the rain! new rubber colored sole is really nice.
HUGE NEGATIVE: Saucony has changed the insoles on these to have no arch support and in the first 10 minutes my knees and feet were telling me there was something seriously wrong. not only were the insoles flat, the little extra foam laminated on the bottom of one insole was glued on wrong causing that foot to roll inward, actually reducing arch support! I had a pair of Saucony Bullets that had the same problem, not enough to return them and I believe Saucony has cheapened them and problems will persist.
fortunately I am replacing a previous good pair of Jazzes and used those insoles and the fit is now...
ive had two pairs before that made it to London and back and lasted a good 4+ years. I finally decided to replace them with the blue ones. After a week of wearing them the front of the toe has split and has started to fray. Photo shows how bad it has gotten...... otherwise a great shoe.
