Pretty much the best shoe ever. I've been a Saucony Kinvara fan since the Kinvara 2, so I can say with confidence (and several thousands of miles of testing through Kinvara 2 to the current 6) that this is by far, the best upgrade to the Kinvara family. I love these so much I am purchasing another pair (or two!) for alternating.
As an FYI for runners, I'm 5' 4" at approx 125 lbs and run 5+ days a week with an average weekly mileage of 30 during non training season and 50 to 70 during high-training weeks (Aug through April is my race season). I've worn this particular shoe for a 4 race challenge in February 2015 that totaled close to a 50k over two days and I didn't have a single blister or foot issue. Amazing shoe and highly recommended!
I have the 4s, 5s, and 6s so I have the whole spectrum (and a shoe problem). I love every single pair of them. The 6s feel even lighter than the predecessors and like you aren't wearing shoes at all. I actually went down a half size in shoes overall due to weightloss so my 4s are a little big. I can't say that I have any issues like other reviewers. I typically wore New Balance with a super cushioned footbed (12mm). My doctor, who is also a runner, recommended the Kinvara's to me. I haven't had any of the foot, hip or thigh issues I had previously. The more minimal approach helped even an over-pronator with temperamental knees like myself. I HIGHLY recommend these. These are my running version of a "Jimmy Choo", can't have enough and worth every penny.
This shoe is amazing! For the past few years I've been running in shoes from the Brooks Pure Project Line (usually Connect or Flow). Felt like a change, as the Flow felt too bulky and the Connect had a big arch. I ran in Saucony's in high school and felt nostalgic. So glad I chose these. At first I wasn't sure while walking in them but after my first run I was sold. The 4mm drop is perfect for me and the cushioning is just right (minimalist with a tad of spring). Thick socks don't work so well as the shoe runs slightly small (and the pro lock lacing system means you don't need to tighten as much as you might in a different shoe). I feel like I'm flying in these shoes -- of course that could be psychological, as my last shoes were down to the nub but seriously -- give these a go!
