Scotch® Filament Tape 898 is a high-performance clear tape reinforced with glass yarn filaments for tensile strength of 380 lbs/in width. Scotch® Filament Tape 898 is an excellent choice for “L†clip closures or “C†clip reinforcement of light- to heavy-duty corrugated boxes, or any application that depends on strong, reliable and consistent tape performance.
Scotch® Filament Tape 898 is 6.6 mils thick, has adhesion of 70 oz/in width, tensile strength of 380 lbs/in and elongation at break of 5%. Applications include high strength reinforcing, heavy duty strapping, and non-regular slotted container (RSC) box closing. Meets ASTM D5330, Type II.
