There are clouds everywhere you look. Tech-Savvy people are uploading and keeping their valuable information on a multitude of online services like Dropbox, Box, OneDrive and Google Drive. All these services offer free limited storage with options of expanded storage for a monthly fee. For the most part, these services are generally secure, though there are always chances that your data could be lost or compromised.

Cons: - SLOOOOW in remote, barely can access my photos or any relatively big files from remote. It actually takes ~30 sec just to be able to display the folders. Takes a really long time, I think the reason is it's trying to download from my home network everytime. But still, not good for remote use. - AWFUL app experience. So far non of the apps (media, sdrive, etc) works well for me. Especially SDrive. It never authenticates my account created via computer, so I've never actually logged in to SDrive on my phone. UX is awful, and unusable. And for Media, it just doesn't work, I cleaned up sample photos in "Photo" folder and put in new ones, but on my phone it just shows the old sample ones and never synced the new photos. Hard to browse, hard to find anything you want. - Can't share. There seem to be no way to share specific files or folders to others. - Only can sync and upload stuff from your personal cloud to your Dropbox/Google Drive, not the other way. I...
I bought this to store my collection of CDs so I could rip them and play them on my Sonos system without keeping my computer running or paying rent for cloud storage. I plugged it into my router, waited a few minutes, and there it was on my network. It's up and running with my Sonos with no problems. I'm happy.
