This coating doesn't change color in any way and works equally well on all hair, whether natural or treated. These products also add soft body and texture and manageability. Our special henna is soluble in water and washes out easily. No build-up to dull or dry hair. NEUTRAL HENNA (Lawsonia Enermis) has a long history of use as a natural conditioner which adds shine and body to hair. It does this by depositing a clear cellophane-like (non-coloring) coating on each hair shaft. This results in lots of bright natural highlights and increased texture and body. The henna plant is a tall, slender shrub that grows abundantly throughout the Middle East. Its small white flowers yield an essential perfume and its oval-shaped leaves are ground into a fine powder and used as a natural colorant and conditioner. When this powder is exposed to sunlight and air, its coloring properties are destroyed or "neutralized" but its highlighting and conditioning properties remain. A special extraction process is then used to recover the rich cellulose-like material that is responsible for the spectacular highlighting effects.
