The top section has 2 tuneable whips which can be adjusted up or down to suit your desired frequency band. The total bandwidth with tuning is 4 MHz, from 26 to 30 MHz. This makes it ideal for CB 10 Metre band as well as DX'ing. The construction is 3 sections of fibreglass and 2 small stainless steel tuning whips. The total length including the whip is 14 foot 3 inches/4.35m making it more stable in high winds. Although the antenna is shorter in length than Â½ wave Skip Master version, the coil design on the top section is reported to achive 1 extra S point also there is less noise on receive than our Aluminium Venom base station antennas ! The 5/8 wave Skip Master fibreglass antenna is weatherproof to enable many years of use.
