EASY POST PLACEMENT: These Strong-Tie ABU Post Bases fit 6x6 lumber. The slot in the base enables flexibility around the anchor bolt, making precise post placement easier while allowing space for the post, bolt, and screws.
BUILT IN STANDOFF: A one-inch uplift / standoff built into every Strong-Tie ABU post base helps prevent rot at the end of the post and meets code requirements for structural posts installed in basements or exposed to weather or water splash.
STRONG MATERIAL: These adjustable standoff post bases are fabricated from galvanized steel. Available in other finishes, depending on application needs, Simpson Strong-Tie post bases are designed for versatility, cost-effectiveness and maximum uplift performance.
EASY FASTENING: The ABU series of retrofit adjustable post bases provides a slotted anchor hole for adjustability, and can be installed with nails, Strong-Drive SD Connector screws or bolts. Built-in 1" standoff gap allows room for connectors.
