This P-38 model features bold black and white invasion stripes which made it easier to differentiate between enemy or friendly aircraft during the Normandy landings on D-day. Includes display stand and educational collectorÕs card. Officially licensed model in collaboration with the curators of the Smithsonian Institution. Measures 7.5 inches long with 9 inch wingspan.
