L-Mesitran Soft is a gel that contains: 40% medical grade honey, hypo-allergenic lanolin, propylene glycol, PEG 4000, and vitamins C & E. When the gel is in contact with the wound, fluid is drawn from the surrounding tissues through osmosis. By doing so, a moist wound healing environment is created. This environment stimulates the wound healing process. L-Mesitran Soft is a primary wound gel that can be covered with most commonly used secondary dressings. The properties of the gel also help prevent the secondary dressing from adhering to the wound bed. This 1.75 oz. L-Mesitran wound gel is perfect for chronic, acute, deep, superficial and post-operative wounds! Available in single tube format or by the case of 12. Unlike Manuka honey, which is used by competitors like Medihoney, L-Mesitran consists of a blend of medical grade honeys.
