Solid Brass 3" Sundial Compass - W/ Inlaid Hardwood Box

This is a finely crafted, solid brass sundial compass in one convenient unit. This unit allows an individual to tell the exact time by taking into account all local variables. A marker to account for the declination of the sun, a sundial,a compass with a magnetic needle. If properly used it is a highly accurate timepiece. A perfect partner to the sextant for navigation. It has black enameling for easy viewing to highlight the beautiful delicate design work. There is also a 'lock' to hold the needle in placeprevent damage,folds for easy carrying. It measures approx 2.5" across the sundial. When folded it is less than an inch tall,can unfold to as much as 3". It comes with a hardwood box inlay brass design for storage. The brass is left unfinished, so that it may acquire an antique type finish over time. If that is not wanted. It may easily be polished away.
