- The Sony FX6 Full-Frame Camera Kit, which includes the FX6 camera and a 24-105mm f/4 G OSS E-mount zoom lens, is designed to deliver versatile, cinema-style imaging in a compact package. It’s capable of capturing up to 15+ stops of dynamic range and offers Sony’s S-Cinetone gamma for film-like skin tones. With up to 10-bit, 4:2:2 XAVC-I recording, the FX6 is ready to complement your FX9 or VENICE footage, and is also perfectly suited for documentary, gimbal, and drone shoots.
- The FX6 camera, weighing just under 2 lb, is a fusion of a 4K full-frame Exmor R sensor and a BIONX XR engine. This combination allows for highly sensitive capture in various settings, utilizing a base ISO of 800 and a high-sensitivity mode of ISO 12800 for detailed low-light scenes. The FX6 body is significantly lighter than the FX9 by a full 2 lb, and its dimensions are 6 x 4.6". Despite its compact size, it houses a full-frame sensor, making it comparable to the S35-sensor Sony FS5.
- The FX6 is not only a perfect fit for professional cinema workflows, but it also comes with several features that are incredibly beneficial for solo operators. These features include a highly responsive and precise phase-detection autofocus system with Face Detection and real-time Eye autofocus capabilities. It also provides both automatic and manual ND filter settings for swift adjustment of exposure, and a 3.5" LCD monitor that offers convenient touchscreen access to essential menu settings.
