- These arts have been practiced and handed down within artisan families since ancient Mughal times. The beauty of the detailed, intricate carving work is the reason for their immense popularity.
- The stone sculpture has been painstakingly carved from a single block of stone. One wrong stroke and the openwork breaks... and the artisans need to discard the block and start all over again. Use a battery-operated tealight as it can get hot with a burning, wax tealight!
- An intricately carved candle/tealight/votive holder sculpture... the pièce de résistance amongst all tealight holders... See the magic come alive in the dark when you place a tealight inside the stone sculpture. The intricately carved patterns get imposed on the surface, on which you keep the sculpture.
