- Aftermarket speed sender (OE 266-8577) for Caterpillar 988H and 992G wheel loaders, 834H and 854G wheel dozers — monitors engine or transmission output shaft speed via gear teeth to drive analog tachometer gauges in C18, C27, and C32 industrial diesel engines.
- This is a passive magnetic pickup (variable reluctance type), not a powered digital sensor. It generates an AC voltage pulse as gears rotate — providing a direct signal to mechanical or analog tachometers without ECU involvement, software, or emission system linkage.
- Sealed stainless steel housing with rugged connector resists extreme heat, vibration, oil, and dust in demanding mining, quarrying, and heavy earthmoving applications across North America.
- Direct OEM-fit replacement with identical mounting flange, air gap tolerance, and electrical output profile. Install in minutes using standard tools — no calibration or wiring changes required.
