This revised edition has clear images, new imaging modalities and free online access to all the cases. The questions formatted similar to the new radiology board exam. Like the prior editions it cases range from simple (opening round) to very difficult (challenge); unlike the prior editions (and other books in this series) The images are of excellent quality and the abnormalities are described in detail
Book has very good review on AJNR blog: [...] Highly recommend
Pros: Can't think of one.
Cons: -No explanation of image findings. -Poor explanation on answer page.
Don't waste your money. This is one of the worst in the Case review series....which is already pretty dismal to begin with. It's too bad Radcases don't have spine imaging.
Edit: I wish I could give this book a 0 star. Discussion addresses nothing about why incorrect answers are incorrect, why listed possible differential dx is incorrect, why finding looks the way it does.....etc....reference to Requisite Neuroradiology book is of not much help since that's not a good book, especially for spine (not good for brain either).
Great cases with excellent discussion. Images in the 3rd edition have really improved.
