Fiproguard Max for Dogs is the generic to Parastar Plus for Dogs and has the same active ingredient, fipronil. Fiproguard Max for Cats is also available and also contains fipronil. Along with fipronil, Fiproguard Max contains a second active ingredient which is used to maximize the power of fipronil (cyphenothrin for dogs and etofenprox for cats). It also kills newly emerged adult fleas before they lay eggs. Just like Parastar Plus, Fiproguard Max comes in a squeeze-on applicator and also protects your pet from chewing lice and kills four types of ticks, in as little as one hour, including the Deer tick, which can cause Lyme disease.
