He remains Starfleet€s only Klingon officer. At first he was flight control officer for the Enterprise. Later, upon the death of Lt. Yar, Worf was made full lieutenant and Chief of Security. His Klingon sense of huonor, duty and loyalty have made Worf one of the most respected members of Starfleet. Worf has become involved at times in the labyrinth of Klingon politics. He once had to resign his commission during his involvement in the Klingon Civil War. Recently, Lt. Worf performed admirably during an attack by a Klingon Bird of Pre.
