2000 Star Wars Power of the Force 12" Dewback and Sandtrooper. The Dewback is 32" long. Set from the original Star Wars Episode IV Movie. Dewbacks were commonly used as mounts and pack animals by Imperial Sandtroopers Security Forces. Though they were essentially a primitive means of transportation, dewbacks were used instead of Landspeeders because they would not become clogged by sand and seldom overheated. They also could be urged to run at speeds of 50 kilometers per hour for short periods of time-a speed at which they could overtake a Sandcrawler. Dewbacks were also preferred over Banthas because of they did not shy away from the challenges presented by sandstorms. However, those who used Dewbacks for transportation would have to keep in mind that the reptiles would become sluggish as the local temperature decreased. Aside from being employed by Imperial Sandtroopers and a Desert Specialist Team from the 4th Regiment of the Alliance Special Forces, Dewbacks were rarely found away from Tatooine.
