The dial indicator is accurate to .001" for thicknesses up to 1" (25mm). It has an adjustable zero point, and can also be positioned for left-hand use. You can install the removable brass foot for convenient freestanding operation, or take your measurements freehand; the sturdy lightweight aluminum frame is easy to handle.
