Additional Information

Quick Flip 350 (35mm) is our most economical flash-rotating bracket. Quick Flip models offer high value, compact size, light weight and fast handling. No wonder they're the best-selling brackets on the market. Although lower in price than our top-of-the-line brackets, they share the same quality materials and construction. The Quick Flip 350 accepts all 35mm cameras except those with large, accessory battery packs or motor drives.)All Stroboframe Quick Flip Flash brackets have a pivoting flash arm that keeps the flash over the lens in both horizontal and vertical positions. They have a comfortable foam grip and a tripod mountable base. They allow the user to shoot and advance film as if no bracket were attached.

So this is the third one of these I got. I bought this to replace the one I bought 30 years ago which is getting a bit worn and mostly because the glue holding the pad which the camera goes on to is getting sticky. The other one I have is about 15 years old.

1st these are $28 and that is about $25 cheaper than they were 15 years ago. Nice that they passed the savings they made by having them manufactured by Chinese Communists on to the consumer. What's not so nice is that the new grip is pretty much garbage compared to the old ones.

1st, the bar is reversed. The two old ones I have have the vertical component about a half inch longer than the horizontal component. This new one is too long where the camera goes and not as high where the flash goes. FAIL.

2nd, there is now a slot where the shoe mounts to the top bar instead of the 1/4-20 holes. Makes the top bar flimsy which leads to point three...

3rd, the top bar is not square to the bracket... Read more
Do not follow the published instructions and mount this bracket as shown - to the left of the camera. I know this is true especially if you are, like me, using a Canon Rebel SLR with an accessory Battery Grip. To take a vertical shot I would have had to turn the camera the wrong way. Everything would be all messed-up. I used only a Phillips screwdriver, on only one screw, to make this design correction. Oddly, setting the bracket up so the flash is on the right side of the camera turns the logo upside down - but everything else becomes perfect. You don't even need to straighten or change the bracket arm position when you switch from shooting horizontal to shooting vertical.

I just recently purchased and mounted my new electronic flash on my camera with this Stroboframe Bracket. It works well for making pictures outside and inside. Outside I shoot flash mostly head-on to fill in the shadows. With the flash up and away from my camera, the fill-in light looks more... Read more
Waste of money for me. I have used it *maybe* an hour, and grabbed it a few minutes ago "just in case" for a session tomorrow. I noticed the padding the camera sits on is peeling completely off. It's practically brand new. Also, the ergonomics of this thing are awful. As advised by many, I mounted it backwards, to keep the flash on top, with shutter release also on top, when camera is in vertical position. This is a BETTER ergonomic position than the way it is intended. In any event, I find it almost entirely unusable. The vertical part of the Stroboframe is still in the way of my right hand, and the whole assembly twists forward in use - even without letting it dangle. My right hand just doesn't have clearance to stay off of it. Also, the single screw mount on the bottom of my camera - it can't keep the Stroboframe in place with the slight pressure, much less if the assembly was held such that gravity was pulling the flash forward. Really, I advise skipping a bracket... Read more
