Japanese Carbide Blade SKH-9 (Lasts significantly longer than the US S7 Steel) | Designed with our UNI-LOK technology that hydraulically crimps the grooves of the shaft to ensure the piston driver never unscrews.
The aluminum piston driver is heat treated to maintain strength and durability for excessive use and wear and tear. | Driver is annealed at the threaded end to lower the hardness and make the material more ductile for improved shock resistance.
Rockwell Hardness Testing: Standard alloy drive hardness ranges at 65HRC along the shaft. | All Superior Parts drivers are crimped at the aluminum base and can withstand a torque of 80 N-M (59ft-lb) before the aluminum shears off.
