This heavy duty mortised automatic door bottom is designed to provide reliable soundproofing protection. It will also seal your door from drafts, light and smoke. The door bottom is fitted with a solid neoprene bulb which has a maximum drop of 1 inch. The interior of the door bottom is filled with an anti-squeak rubber for added sound protection. How it Works: The Automatic Door Bottom utilizes a concealed flat spring mechanism which is activated upon opening and closing of the door. A brass plunger is compressed when the door is closed to automatically drop the seal. The seal is raised when the door opens. This motion ensures a smooth drop without a drag, even on an uneven surface. It is compatible with a door saddle or against the floor. The door bottom is built from durable materials that are meant to last. It has been tested through 5 million cycles! The fully mortised aspect of this automatic door bottom is great for high end designer doors and luxury hotels and condo units that prefer their doors contain their clean unobtrusive look.
