Product Description
TOGGLER Alligator A8 Screw Anchors, Plastic Expansion Anchors for Concrete, Brick, Stone & Drywall, Fits #8–#14 Screws, 5/16" x 1-9/16", Heavy Duty, 85 lb in 1/2" Drywall (Pack of 100 w/o Screws)
- VERSATILE HOLD: Designed for hollow + solid installs—concrete, brick, stone, and drywall—this TOGGLER anchor grips securely under load, while the flanged head boosts stability in cavities for reliable concrete wall anchors performance.
- SMART EXPANSION: Corrosion-resistant polypropylene expands and elongates in solid substrates to spread force evenly, then opens “jaws” behind hollow surfaces as the screw drives in, making heavy duty wall anchors for drywall tougher and steadier.
- WIDE SCREW RANGE: Made in the USA and compatible with #8 to #14 screw sizes (sold separately), letting you choose the right fastener for the job while keeping the anchor seated and stable in drywall or masonry installations.
- HIGH STRENGTH RATED: Ultimate tensile strength is 85 lb in 1/2" drywall and 1,025 lb in 3,500 psi concrete when paired with a #12 sheet metal screw, supporting heavier-duty mounting across hollow and solid substrates.
- SAFE LOAD GUIDANCE: For safer real-world use and to meet local regulations, set working loads at one-fourth or less of the published maximum values, helping reduce risk while maintaining consistent, reliable performance.
The TOGGLER ALLIGATOR A8 flush-mount anchor provides a secure hold in solid and hollow concrete, brick, stone, and drywall, and is made in USA. Once inserted flush with the surface of a 5/16" drilled hole in a wall, ceiling, or floor, the anchor accepts a #8 to #14 size screw with a thread length at least equal to the thickness of the item being fastened plus 1-3/4". The fins on the anchor head grip the mounting material to prevent spinning when a screw is inserted. When installed within a solid material, the corrosion-resistant polypropylene body expands and elongates to fill and mold to the hole when a screw is inserted. This helps distribute the force evenly throughout its length to help prevent wall fracture. When installed within a hollow material or a solid material with unexpected cavities, the anchor's jaws open as a screw is inserted, locking the anchor and screw within the material.

Anchors provide reinforcement to fasteners installed in materials that are considered brittle or have insufficient hold such as drywall, concrete, brick, and stone. Anchors provide support through methods such as expansion from within or behind the substrate, or insertion of adhesive compounds into drilled holes.
TOGGLER Anchor System manufactures wall anchors and toggle bolts. The company, founded in 1968, is headquartered in Norwalk, CT.
