Kit has fine engraved panel lines, well appointed cockpit, twin-row Sakae 12 radial engine, cowling with full length gun troughs and separate flap section, detailed undercarriage and wheel wells, arresting hook, delicate aileron actuators and balances, single-piece 3-blade propeller with separately molded spinner, drop tank and choice of 2-piece (closed) or 3-piece (open) canopy. Decals and painting reference for (3) IJN aircraft that participated in the attack on Pearl Harbor prior to Japan's declaration of war: No 102, carrier Akagi, lead ship of Carrier Division 1, pilot Lt Saburo Shindo; No 151, carrier Soryu, lead ship of Carrier Division 2, pilot Lt Fusata Iida and No 137, carrier Zuikaku, 2nd ship of Carrier Division 5, pilot Lt Masao Sato - includes stencil data, instrument faces, fuselage bands and propeller tip stripes.
