The comfortably sized cutaway body is carved entirely from Koa, a rare Hawaiian wood with a wonderfully natural aesthetic. Hailing from the Big Island of Hawaii, the hardtop Koa wood affords compression, creating a controlled, sustaining effect to each note. It begins with a very bright tone, but over time relents to a warmer, sweeter sound, particularly in the mid-range.
