â€œHello.â€
â€œHi,â€ I mutter, trying to sidestep.
He anticipates the movement and places himself in my way.
â€œWould you like to dance?â€ he asks.
I regard him warily, yet Iâ€™m not able to stop gazing at his beautiful face, his blue eyes smouldering at me, making it pretty hard to refuseâ€”but I still remember the fire.
â€œIâ€™m going to get some water,â€ I say, trying to step away, again.
â€œLet me.â€
â€œNo, thank you.â€ Like Iâ€™d let someone like him buy me a drink; itâ€™s not like I havenâ€™t heard of the date rape drug.
Again, I try to side step him.
