- בְּנְשִׁימָה מְעוֹרֶרֶת, הַשּׁוֹפָר יַרְעִים With breath awakened, let the horn resound קוֹלוֹ מִן הָעוֹלָם הָעָתִיק, נִשְׁמָע בְּעֹז וְעָמֹק A voice from ages past, profound. תְּקִיעָה אַחַת תָּעוֹר אֶת הַשָּׁמַיִם הַדּוֹמְמִים One blast shall stir the silent skies, וְתַרִים נַפְשְׁךָ לִמְרוֹם, מַעַל כָּל גְּבוּל וּמַסְגֵּר And lift thy soul where spirit flies. הַצְּלִיל יִקְשֹׁר אֶת לִבְּךָ לְמַעְלָה The sound shall bind thy heart above, לְאוֹר אֱלוֹהִים, לְאַהֲבָה קְדוֹשָׁה To Heaven’s light, to sacred love. תְּקַע וְיַהֲדוּ הַהֵדִים בַּכֹּל So blow, and let the echoes find יְדֵי אֱלוֹהִים, נְשָׁמָה אֱלֹהִית מִתְגַּלָּה The hand of God, the breath divine
