Behold an instrument hallowed by the ages: the ancient shofar, whose voice has cried out across the generations for more than four thousand years in service of the Holy One of Israel. Breathed into by man, yet filled with the breath of the spirit, it bringeth forth a sound both wondrous and solemn—a sacred cry that pierceth the heart, uplifteth the soul, and draweth the hearer nigh unto the presence of God.
Lo, a horn fashioned from the beast of the field, pure and unblemished, as it was in the days of old. This is the Teru’at Shamayim—a shofar cleansed and made ready, burnished with care, and kept in righteousness. Its voice goeth forth as in ancient times, deep and mighty, to awaken the soul and proclaim the majesty of the Most High.
With breath awakened, let the horn resound A voice from ages past, profound. And lift thy soul where spirit flies. To Heaven’s light, to sacred love. So blow, and let the echoes find The hand of God, the breath divine
