- 303 has a higher chromium content than 416, resulting in a brighter finish. Sulphur and phosphorus added make this steel easy to sand down
- This item is a five pack of 1/4" diameter rods, 12" long
Knife pins hold the scales to the tang, and are an integral part of nearly every knife's handle. These stainless steel rods are made in the USA with 303 stainless, which is also known as A1. It has a high chromium content and some nickle and thus finishes brighter than 416 stainless, but also includes some sulphur and phosphorus, making it easy to grind.
