It is springtime in â€œThe Night of the Comet,â€ and in the days before Pigottâ€™s comet will pass over their town, Harrisâ€™s and Bostockâ€™s thoughts turn to love: Bostock swoons over Harrisâ€™s sister Mary; Harris longs for Captain Bostockâ€™s telescope. The boys strike a deal: Bostock will make off with the telescope in exchange for Harrisâ€™s â€œexpertâ€ wooing advice. Unfortunately, that expertise is not quite what Bostock would have hoped.
