Description

  • SPECIFICATIONS: High density felt material, 0.32-0.36 g/cm³ (539.4-606.8 lb/yd³). This material contains min. 85% wool fibers. F-3 Industrial Felt is firm and inflexible, moderate oil absorption and retention. This material also has excellent resistance to abrasion and wear.
  • COLOR: Our industrial felt is 100% natural and undyed, therefore the material slight color variation will occur from lot to lot. F-3 Industrial felt will generally range from natural gray to brown.
  • APPLICATIONS: Anti-vibration pad, boat trailer, ceiling felt, concrete pillars in parking garage, furniture protector pads (weighing more than 1000 lbs), high traffic rug, log carrying bag, oiling machines in bowling alleys (using low-viscosity oil), to seal drafts, rug backing, vacuum tubing seal.
  • INDUSTRIES SERVED: This material can be used in aircraft, automotive, architecture, boating, jewelry, construction, cottage, interior design, gun and firearm, and machinery components.
  • HOW TO CUT: Industrial felt pieces that are less than 1/2" thick can be cut using a rotary blade. Thicker felt may require a fabric saw.

SAE F-3 Felt is minimum 85% gray wool and has a density of 0.32-0.36 g/cm3. This high-grade of felt is suitable for vibration absorption, resistance to abrasion and wear. F3 felts offer the same uses as F1 felts but are of slightly less density and durability. F3 felts can still be used for precision applications such as vibration mounts; precision lubrication wicking; oil seals; bumpers; gaskets; automobile; aircraft and machinery components, but are best for applications where felt of coarse wool is acceptable. Available in a variety of thickness and length. * Natural wool is used, color variation may occur*
